A powerflush is the best way of cleaning your heating system without having to replace pipes, fittings or radiators.

Dirt in the heating system is rusty water which builds up to cause sludge, this is mainly caused by the age of the system (old radiators and old boilers), but also caused when water and air mix inside radiators and pipework which accelerates sludge build up.

A typical powerflush machine would connect to your existing heating pipework and would be filled with a cleaning chemical which would dislodge and break down any hard sludge or debris built up in the system, as this is pumped out of the system a filter catches all the dirt as it passes through to stop any sludge entering back into the heating system, the heating system is then refilled with fresh water and inhibitor which also helps any corrosion and sludge build up .
